Why You Don’t Need to Be “Ready” to Start
Unlearning the idea that healing only happens when we have it all together
How many times have you thought: “I’ll book a session when I’m less overwhelmed.” “I’ll reach out when I know what I need.” “I just need to get through this week/month/season first…”
It’s so common — especially for neurodivergent and sensitive women — to delay seeking support because we think we need to be more stable, more regulated, or more "sorted out" first.
But here's the truth:
You don’t need to be ready. You just need to be real.
Healing doesn’t wait for the perfect conditions
It begins in small moments:
Sitting quietly in a field.
Being witnessed - gently, without judgement.
Letting your body speak when your words won’t come.
Feeling your nervous system exhale because no one here needs you to perform.
There is no application form for being overwhelmed.
No checklist for being worthy of support.
No gatekeeper who says “now you qualify for rest.”
You get to start now. Exactly as you are.
Come tangled, tired, unsure, emotional
The horses don’t need you to be anything other than honest.
I don’t either.
You don’t need a plan.
You don’t need the words.
You don’t need to have “worked it all out.”
All you need is the tiniest flicker of a yes - a sense that maybe, just maybe, this is the beginning of something softer.
And that’s enough.
